Nursing Education Institute (NEI)
The Nursing Education Institute was created to foster a unique learning environment where experienced nurses refine their knowledge, deepen their understanding, and sharpen their clinical skills through advanced level instruction.
National RN experts provide didactic workshops in a variety of specialty areas. In addition to the educational workshop, the RN experts make nursing rounds on the patient care units to discuss nursing care, and to review protocols and nursing standards.
Workshops are open to UMC staff free of charge (usually $5.00 for non-UMC employees). For registration questions, please call (520) 694-0720.

Parking Information
UMC is growing! Our present expansion efforts necessitate that all NEI attendees, must park at the Catalina Theatre parking lot on the southeast corner of Campbell Avenue and Grant Road. There is no charge for parking and a shuttle will take you to and from UMC. Shuttles run every 5 minutes between the hours of 6:30 am and 8:30 am, and every 15 minutes between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
NEI attendees who park in the visitor’s garage will have to pay the $7 parking fee. The UMC visitor’s garage is needed for the use of UMC patients and their families, and we thank you for supporting them in this way.
